Iris Pope is an independent singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her ethereal vocals, introspective lyricism, and atmospheric blend of dream pop, indie folk, and electronic elements. Based in Toronto, she draws inspiration from artists like Kate Bush, Florence + The Machine, and The Cure, crafting music that feels both intimate and cinematic.
Her debut album, Awakening, is a deeply personal collection of songs exploring themes of impulse control, manifestation, loneliness, and love. With lush soundscapes and emotionally charged storytelling, Pope’s music resonates on a profound level, offering listeners a space for reflection and connection.
A lifelong performer, Pope’s passion for music began in musical theatre at age four, later expanding into songwriting and production. Her creative process is fueled by literature, art, and a love for evocative storytelling. Beyond music, she has a background in competitive skiing and holds a degree in Psychology and Social Anthropology from the University of St Andrews.
“I want to create music that makes people feel seen and heard,” she shares. With Awakening and more new music on the horizon, Iris Pope is an artist to watch.
